Premium

What Premium unlocks

Which plugins are free, which need a license, the three plans, and how enforcement behaves when a license lapses.

Cloudy's licensing rule is short: four plugins are free forever, everything else needs an active license on that server.

Monthly€ 5.99 / monthBilled monthly, cancel anytime
Yearly€ 4.99 / month€ 59.88 billed yearly
Lifetime€ 44.99One-time payment, unlocked forever

All three unlock exactly the same plugins. The only functional difference:

The Custom Bot — running Cloudy under your own bot identity — requires a Lifetime license. Subscriptions do not unlock it, and the check is enforced by the bot as well as the dashboard.

Prices are final; no VAT is shown pursuant to § 19 UStG (German small-business rule).

One license, one server

A license covers one server at a time and belongs to you, not to the server. You can move it between servers whenever you want, as often as you want.

Two servers means two licenses. See Licenses for buying, assigning and moving them.

What happens when a license lapses

This is the part worth understanding before you cancel anything.

Your settings are untouched

Cloudy stores "the admin wants this plugin on" and "this server is entitled to it" as two separate facts. Losing the license only changes the second one.

Plugins stop running

A premium plugin without a license counts as inactive. It registers no commands, handles no events and writes no data.

The dashboard becomes read-only

Every premium page still renders your full configuration behind a lock bar. You can read everything; saving is blocked.

Renewing restores everything instantly

The moment a license is active on the server again, every plugin that was enabled is running again — with the same channels, the same messages, the same thresholds. There is nothing to re-enable.

Member data — levels, balances, warnings, birthdays — is never deleted by a lapsed license either. The only thing that deletes data is the reset on Server defaults.

Enforcement

Premium is checked in three places, so there is no way to end up with a half-licensed server:

  • the dashboard UI shows the lock and disables saving;
  • the API rejects premium writes with 402 even if the UI is bypassed;
  • the bot applies the same rule at runtime.

Reads are deliberately left open everywhere, which is why you can still see and audit your configuration without a license.

  • Licenses — buying, assigning, moving, cancelling
  • Custom Bot — the lifetime-only white-label option
